Need some huge improvements
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/09
The sidewalk along the chain link fence starting from the bridge and ending at the Group Sales needs to be painted over again. Another sidewalk along the outside of jungle falls down to the Hurricane needs to be painted again. The restaurants would be great if they were indoors with some nice air conditioning. All of the wooden structures need to be placed with some real hard stuff like bricks. After a while the wood rots especially during heavy periods of rain. The front gates definitely need metal detectors. The bathrooms definitely need some air conditioning because when it is hot the heat never goes away. The trash cans in the guest parking lot need real trash cans to keep it more clean.

No outside food is a good rule!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/09
I did research ahead of time to see what could be brought into the park since I have a young toddler with only 2 teeth I read that one sandwich bag of food and one juice drink could be brought in for kids under 2 (see FAQ on the park's website) so I packed an avocado, pre-cut, with a spoon.Very healthy option since I figured the park food would not be. She also snacked on some of her brother's fries. One serving of fries won't kill her. Everyone had a blast. A lot of the Va Beach tourists are careless and would leave their trash and wrappers all over the place if allowed to bring in giant coolers and whatever else they wanted. Look at how gross the Oceanfront gets. Less outside food allowed = less trash = cleaner environment. I'm all for it. One thing I didn't like - I saw some people hoarding tubes for the bigger slides, because the tubes go quickly on busy days and they are first-come first serve. I think the staff could have been a little more proactive in noticing this. People were keeping tubes by their lounge chairs, and not even using them, they wanted them "just in case." That's wrong.

No outside foor for Young Kids and Babies
By K. R. S, 05/30/09
The park itself is fun for the kids but the customer service is Awful. They are a greedy corporation not to allow any outside food in for the young children and babies. There are NO nutritional choices available on their menus and the food they do have isn't good. The people checking the bags are rude and inconsistant. One day I can bring something in for my toddler and the next, they expect me to walk back to my car and put the food back or throw it away. The picnic area by the parking lot is a far walk with hungry children and the area outside the entrance is unshaded. This place only cares about making money, not about the people coming to use its park. (I am a season pass holder so this wasn't a one time incident).

About the Restrooms.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/09
There have been many complaints about the restrooms every year, but nobody seems to understand why they get so dirty and backed up so much. First off, the bathrooms get really messy with their is no down time. Keep in mind that it is not the employee's fault that the bathroom gets so filthy. The real reason why it is so dirty is because many people don't have manners and have not been potty trained. The most complaints about the restrooms is why are the floors so wet. Well, duh it is a wateraprk and a wateraprk isn't a waterpark without water. It is not pee it is water.Sometimes when the bathrooms breakdown it makes everyone angry. There is another set of restrooms in the back that you can use but nobody wants to hear it. The reason why you can't use the restrooms when they are being fixed is because the maintenance has both genders in different bathrooms so just wait or go in the back. The most annoying part is when the park is closing and everybody goes into the showers and don't come out until 8:00 PM; one hour after the park has closed. It doesn't take that long to shower and besides employees have lives too you know. And another thing is why there is no soap. There is no soap becase everybody uses it for their own benefit or uses way too much of it. So try to be patient and have nice manners so everyone around you at the park can have a good and memorable time.

In Response to Outside Food?
By Yahoo Nut, 12/22/08
It's funny how people get upset about parks doing their part in safety. They check the bags for glass. You are walking around bare foot and glass is not easy to clean up. They do not want someone cutting their foot. They also do not want you to bring food in the park, because they are a business. Can you bring food into a restaurant? No. It's the same concept. All parks are the same way. Don't try to single out one park. Ocean Breeze is a small water park located in Virginia Beach, Va and is well worth the money spent for a day of fun. I took my family and they all had a blast. Thank God there was no broken glass for them to get cut, thanks to the employees making sure that no glass entered the park. I give them 5 stars. Check it out. I believe you will have a good time as well.

LOOOVE IT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
I tried Ocean Breeze last summer (on reccomendation of ALL my friends) and I loved it!. They had something for everyone, from the big wave pool, to the great selection of waterslides, it was amazing. I have to say, the water park isn't very big, but shows you some big fun! Try it!

Family FUN!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/08
Okay I read tons of reviews before actually going to Ocean Breeze. I found most of them to be close to accurate, but some are way off base. First, smoking is allowed only in a designated section which was awesome. We lounged around and didn't worry about the smoke. Also I was not affraid of my children getting burned on someone's cigarette. We did get searched on the way in, but it seemed liked some people were upset with that. My opinion is they are doing it to keep us safe. It wasn't a personal search just a quick bag check. I questioned the staff and they said the same. They said you wouldn't believe how many people don't think about how important it is to keep glass out of a place where people have bare feet. They are correct!! The rides were awesome. They do not have a ride the entire family could ride, but we didn't feel seperated as the lines move quickly and we were able to be together all day. The wave pool was awesome.!!They also have two new rides, Pirates Plummet and Walk the Plank. They were fast slides that were fun. Their mascot was out and about and does a really funny dance on the wave pool. The kids loved it. They also got to participate in a belly flop contest. All in all it was a blast.

Awesome for the price
By DanetteR, 05/22/08
I bought season passes for my family last summer, and I was plesantly suprised. The water park is not large, but the atmosphere is great. I found the waterpark to be clean, and fun. My 3 and 5 year old love the park. For the price we paid for the summer, it was well worth it. I plan on buying passes for this summer. There is a snack bar, and a tiki bar. The food is pretty good, and much better priced than Water Country. We love to swim in the summer, and sometimes the waterpark beats a car full of sand from the beach.
