Crystal Cave Park, Rapid City

It's not for folks that have knee problems! It was an adventure and the climb down was TOTALLY worth it! This place is not accessible for large RVs but I highly recommend everyone to get out there and take a camera! You'll never believe what's there! Take a sweater and some good sole shoes! Explore!!!!!

The Crystal Cave tour definitely was a worth while excursion for our family. The cave is a beautiful unworldly experience. If you've never been in a cave tour before, or if you really love caves, you'll definitely enjoy this tour..it's probably as good as any..lots & lots of calcite spar covering the cavern walls. Also keep in mind any cave is a great place to get out of the heat on a hot summer afernoon..the temperature in the cave is about 50 degrees. They warn that the tour is a long strenuous walk, but it really wasn't too bad..the tour moved slowly with many stops. The value for this cave tour was good ($8/adult & $5/child) for a 90 minute tour. We had to make a reservation for our tour one day ahead. Keep this in mind..we saw many aggrevated people arriving at the cave after a long drive only to find out that all the tours for that day were booked already.. call ahead.
