For the past 35 years, The Colden Center for the Performing Arts has promoted and encouraged talented artists in the fields of music as well as dance. Its three venues have played host to fine performances by the New York Philharmonic Society, Billy Joel and The Dance Theatre of Harlem. The Center organizes conferences, seminars, lectures and political debates on a regular basis. It also conducts workshops and classes, which are especially designed for children and their parents. All programs explore the diverse worlds of dance and music, which include classical music, jazz as well as orchestra.
