Bijou Municipal Golf Course
Bijou Municipal Golf Course is located in a beautiful mountain meadow in South Lake Tahoe. It is open from April to October every year. The course is a nine hole, family course and spans almost 2002 yards. Golf shoppers can either visit the pro shop or relax at the snack bar (open from 7.30am-6pm) after a long game. Reservations are not required as you are given a chance on a first come first basis. Beginners can also opt for lessons. Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m.
We went there last year while scoping out wedding venues. This is an inexpensive course just right for our budget.Great course. Fun and scenic. We are planning to go there again the day after the wedding with the wedding party and guests and I can't wait!
We have played here a number of times and it is always fun. Beautiful mountain meadow location. Scenery is lovely. If you are looking for PGA Pros on the course you won't find them, but contrary to other opinions we've seen here, this a fun course, with a little bit of a challenge. And yes there are holes over 300yds. Also, at $20 per person - not a pricey round.
I've played Bijou twice, both times i had a blast. Its hard not to in Tahoe. But $40 for 9 holes? Thats outrageous considering there isn't a hole over 300 yards. If you're looking to play a round with your family, this could be a very expensive 9 holes of golf. Save your money and put it towards a round at Edgewood. That course you wont regret.
