SUCKS
By rene, 01/17/10
Where to start - well, first if you like hearing women being degraded (called "sluts" and "whores") as well as hearing comments such as "Take his glasses off then you'll look better" and "Stand up - some of you need the exercise," having to wait thirty minutes for refills and the tab, getting double charged, and talking to young and ignorant staff members and managers then this is the place for you. Drinks are 9 bucks a piece and the piano people won't play your song unless you tip them a lot of money. Bottom line - not worth the money or hassle. Go to McFadden's or Magaritaville instead. You certainly spend less there and have more fun.

Waste of money!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/09
The talents is not bad. That's not the issue. Went to the one in Glendale, Az last weekend and "tried" to get a drink from the bartenders. They are so busy goofing off and just rude overall especially the guy behind the bar with a bald head. No-one even knows what is supposed to be in two common mixed drinks I ordered yet they charged me full-price for wrong drinks. Man, you guys should really get it together! Boooo.

Don't waste your time with these guys - San Diego has plenty of better alternatives
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/08
I had the unfortunate experience last night of having organised to meet friends at this place, having flown in from Europe to celebrate my 30th birthday. My girlfriend and I didn't even get in the door because I didn't have my passport with me, despite having a European drivers license, residence card and various other forms of ID. We asked to see the manager but the security guy at the door claimed to *be* the manager so we phoned them hoping the real manager might be more sensible, but no - no passport, no entry. We tried the brewery next door but they had some lame excuse for closing the kitchen early so we ended up across the road at Hennessy's Irish Pub which wasn't bad. In any case we got a quick look inside and it looked very ordinary. Even if I had my passport I would have reservations showing it to them, and I really don't think I'd bother because San Diego has plenty of better establishments. Summary: Don't waste your time.

Can't wait to go back, we all had a blast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/07
We loved everything; the food, the music and the environment. Its packed on the weekends, so go early enough to get a good seat and dont forget to tip the players so you can hear your favorite songs. The best part of the night is when we roasted our friend on stage.

Best place in the Gaslamp!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/05
If you want to go have a great time without all of the typical "bar scene", go check this place out. It's perfect for all ages over 21...a little raunchy (tons of adult humor and innuendo) but that's why we love it. Great specialty drinks & shots where you get to keep the glass. The staff is SO much fun and personable...especially when they do SHOWTIME! My Bachelorette friend loved it when they got her up for a type of "roast". Those that walk in the door need not be timid by not joining in...if you fail, they will single you out. We're going back for New Years Eve. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is great! I loved the energy! The songs are fun & you can't be grumpy in a place like that!! It was raunchy....but in a good way. I love the Shout House!!!! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!
