Vie del caffè, Trieste

This show, opened in the beginning of the 1990s, and already very successful, evokes the charm of the historic coffee shops in Trieste, transforming them into stages for a week every year. It offers theatre, dance and music shows in the large rooms of the wonderful Caffè Tommaseo , Caffè degli Specchi , Caffè Torinese and Caffè San Marco, which have always been popular meeting places. Trieste has a link with coffee through the commerce of the city, which has been important for the fortunes of the city. This is also promoted by the local tourist office, and takes place in the most historic places in the city. Many small, yet prestigious theatre companies take part.
