Itsas Natura-Escuela Museo del Mar, Salinas de Leniz

The center was founded in 1993. The exhibition itself is divided into three different areas / activities. First, a permanent exhibition devoted to fossils and groups of marine animals from all over the world, such as sponges, corals, crustaceans, etc. Second, an exhibition of various Cantabrian ecosystems in six different pools. Third, an audiovisual studio and workshop-laboratory for hands-on activities with students visiting the center. Guided group visits must be pre-booked. These can also include trips to interesting local nature spots.
