Parc Floral
Description
Designed and built between 1990 and 1992, the Parc Floral spreads over 20 hectares (49 acres) and is home to a collection of rare and diversified species of flowers. A stream flows in the park to remind the passers-by of the close chain of the Pyrenees Mountain. Alongside the river, visit the Japanese gardens where rare and exotic specimens grow. Then, take the bridge leading up to the peninsula to visit the ten gardens of Bordeaux's twin cities. Finally, visit the specific gardens. Each of them is dedicated only to one species: you'll see 180 species of iris as well as 150 species of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias. Hours vary as per season, check website or call ahead of visiting.
