Description

This beautifully landscaped 365-acre 18-hole course is home to the annual Masters Tournament. The Augusta National Invitation Tournament began in 1934 and became known as the Masters five years later. The tournament is held every April. Interestingly, each hole at Augusta National is named after a plant or shrub that is found at the hole (Hole 1: Tea Olive, Hole 18: Holly).

I live in Augusta!!

Ok, I only gave it four stars because of one reason. CRAZINESS! I live in Augusta, and every year, there is alot of traffic and the streets are jammed. I mean, I try to get away every year, but it never really works out. And then a lot of people fly in. So, I just want to give you a heads up on that facor. But the whole Masters part isn't bad at all! Awesome! :)

Was a great adventure

About 5 years ago, I was invited to play Augusta National by one of my corporate friends whose company has a membership. The course was great and truly an adventure to play. It was about 2 months after that years Master's and the overall condition of the course was exceptional. I've played courses all over the World and I'm sad to say that Augusta is not in my top 5.

I disliked the lady crybaby who was whining about her husband not being able to play Augusta. Some things are still sacred and the memberships and playing rights @ Augusta are one of them. I have the exact same Christmas card on my refrigerator as boo ho does,so maybe I'll pack my sticks and go "play me some Augusta"

A Slice of Heaven

The course is beautiful, and the town of Augusta could not be more cordial, and the people go out of their way to welcome those of us who come to witness the most fabulous and reverent sporting event. I have gone for years and years ago, the fans were more well behaved. I think you should be more on top of the fans to keep them well behaved.

stinks !!!!!

I live in another state and I have to go to Augusta on business. My husband is going with me on this trip and he is an avid golf plyer. All he wanted to do is visit for a few minutes and purchase a shirt and hat ! He was denied access to their facility because we weren't members (or important enough )! Amazing we get christmas cards and letters from President Bush but we aren't good enough for the Augusta National Golf Club !
