Most of St Thomas's resorts are found on the east side of the island whose main settlement, RED HOOK , surrounding the bay of the same name, is the other town of note on St Thomas. Though much smaller, not nearly as cultured as Charlotte Amalie and easily done in a day, it's a fun little place to shop, eat and grab a drink or two. With its few malls, it caters mostly to the hundreds of folks who get on and off ferries leading to and from St John, Tortola and other Caribbean islands, and to the high-end resorts nearby.
