Plymouth, Trinidad and Tobago Hotels, Vacations, Tourism

A mile or so beyond Turtle Beach, Grafton Road meets a junction, where a left turn leads to Plymouth , Tobago's first European community, settled first by Latvians, then the Dutch and finally by the British. An attractive little town, its main attraction is Fort James , the oldest stockade in Tobago, built in 1811 by the British. The coral-stone structure and four cannons preside over an excellent view of Turtle Beach.
