The country's oldest beach resort, HUA HIN is very popular with Thai families, but the beach is nowhere near as attractive as those of nearby Ko Samui, Krabi and Ko Samet, and the shorefront is packed with hotels. Hua Hin train station is at the west end of Thanon Damnern Kasem, about ten minutes' walk from the seafront; the main bus depot is on Thanon Chomsin, five minutes' walk from the main through-road, Thanon Phetkasem.
