The car-free mountain resort of BRAUNWALD; is the unsung gem of the Glarnerland region – there are few quieter, more refreshing places to rest up, take in the Alpine views and get out into nature. As you emerge from the small funicular station, you'll see map-boards of the village and its surrounds; there are lifts to higher slopes as well as a host of walks around Braunwald's plateau.
