From Castries, the West Coast Highway scoots through winding, hilly terrain and passes the signposted turn-off for MARIGOT BAY some 5km south; if travelling by bus, it's worth asking the driver if he'll make the two-kilometre detour down to the bay. There's no real town here, but there is a fistful of reclusive hotels and peaceful guesthouses strung along the north and south sides of the bay.
