Large, sprawling and industrialized, HUELVA is the least attractive and least interesting of Andalucía's provincial capitals. It has claims as a "flamenco capital", but unless you're really devoted it's unlikely you'll want to stop long enough to verify this. By day and in the evening as well the most enticing thing to do is to take the hourly ferry (summer only) across the bay to Punta Umbría , the local resort, also linked by a new road bridge spanning the marshlands of the Río Odiel estuary.
