Overview of Nasugbu, Philippines
Information by Rough Guides
The coastline around NASUGBU is lined with resorts, mostly clearly signposted from the main road, grouped largely in three areas: to the north of Nasugbu on the white-sand beach to Fuego Point; around Nasugbu itself on Nasugbu Beach, which has darker sand and is more crowded; and about twenty minutes south of Nasugbu by road the town of MATABUNGKAY has a number of decent resorts. Heading to Nasugbu from Manila, there are hourly BLTB buses from their Pasay terminal, and regular Crow Bus Company services from the terminal at the junction of EDSA and Taft in Pasay, opposite the LRT station. The buses are usually marked for Lian, 25 minutes south of Nasugbu by road, but some actually continue south to Calatagan, passing through Matabungkay on their way. If you can't find a bus passing the resort you want, you'll have to take a tricycle or a jeepney (these run on set routes, so ask if one goes near your resort) from Nasugbu's town hall. There are jeepneys every few minutes between Nasugbu and Matabungkay. Accommodation prices at many of the establishments here increase by ten to twenty percent at weekends; the price codes below represent weekday rates.
