The prices and food are excellent at this little tea-house in Snowflake, AZ. I've eaten there a lot and never been disappointed. The decor is very antique-ish, with white eyelet curtains, mint green walls, hats and boas on display, and a fireplace to cozy up next to. The service is excellent, but your server will not be hovering or smothering.
Their tea selection is to be envied, and their quiches and salads are wonderful. They also serve a wonderful Italian Cream Soda -- try all flavors. Scones of several kinds are available, and you will get one with your meal. My favorite is the chocolate chip coconut, but they have others. All food is made from scratch on the premises, so don't be in a hurry. Go there to relax, dine and take a well-deserved break.
They also serve High Tea in the full British fashion, with a multi-tiered selection of sandwiches, scones and other goodies, and the desserts are both addictive and decadent. It would be easy to eat there every day and become as round as I am tall.
If you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods, do stop in and have a good lunch. You'll wish you could live there, too.
