SAN GIMIGNANO, 27km northwest of Siena, is perhaps the most visited small town in Italy. SAN GIMIGNANO, 27km northwest of Siena, is perhaps the most visited small town in Italy. Its stunning hilltop skyline of towers, built in aristocratic rivalry by the feuding nobles of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, evokes the appearance of medieval Tuscany more than any other sight. If you want to reach beyond its facade of quaintness, try to come well out of season; if you can't, then aim to spend the night here – the town takes on a very different pace and atmosphere in the evenings.

Nice clean airport, well organized and easy to navigate. Beautiful huge bronze horse sculpture right out side the arrivals gate. Will post photos later. Headed up to departures and now we're chillin in some western style bar with a cold beer (or a Grand Marnier on the rocks for Sheryl) that exactly like Hooters except for the busty barmaids. Sheryl just had the best quesadilla ever in 10 years we've lived in Nort...
