Miramare Ristorante, Naples

Great food and spectacular water views...but poor service. If full house, my advice is to find another restaurant. We visited when crowded and the salad took 45 min to arrive and an additional 40 minutes for the entre [a simple pasta dish]. Both excellent...but hardly worth the wait. The owner delivered the meal and merely stated that service would be better the next night when fully staffed. He did not even offer an apology. Local Naples residents and snowbirds will not tolerate this kind of service when so many alternatives exist. An subsequent visit mid-week, when the restaurant was half full, provided a much better service experience.

One of the things I love the most is food, and waterfront restaurants. Once we found this restaurant we knew we were in luck. Miramare offers both great quality food and a really romantic setting by the water. There is something relaxing and peaceful about eating by the water in my opinion. I tried the carpaccio for an app and it was enough for both me and my wife, then our waiter paired our entrees with a nice Italian red wine (Amaroni), and that made a great date night for us. We will be coming back in future date nights for sure! The Saltinbocca was delightful, and the thick sauce was amazing!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant hands down in Naples. Not only the food is great and the portions are huge (Italian style I guess), but the view you have by the canal is amazing. It's a very romantic place, so I recommend it for dates and anniversaries. I always get a Pizza as an appetizer and they have very good seafood dishes for the main meal.
