Described by the Sunday People newspaper in 2002 as like "the back streets of Las Vegas only with cheaper hookers", BUNDORAN (Bun Dobhráin, "foot of the River Doran") isn't quite that bad, but it's hard to avoid disappointment if the town is your first sight of Donegal. Lying at the county's southern extreme, this popular, though tacky, seaside resort offers no indication of the pleasures that lie beyond.
