Red Elephant Pizza LLC, Tampa

I was trying to write a review for the Red Elephant Pizza and Grill in Tampa, but Yahoo maintains it does not exist...so I will write it here! We were coming back from Lowry Zoo and we were intending on going to Kobe (Hibachi). We found, however, that they did not open until 5pm. Next door was this restaurant, which we had never heard of before. It had a pretty good sized crowd for it being neither lunch nor dinner (around 3). I ordered the veggie wrap, my mom had the roast beef au jus, my little brother had the grilled cheese, my dad had the calzone, and my boyfriend had the burger. Altogether, it was a pretty eclectic lunch. We ended up sharing all of each others' meals, and I have to say everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! The manager stopped by to ask us why we chose to eat there, and we were honest about intending on eating at Kobe, to which he responded with a pleasant laugh. Our server, Brittany, was great and very friendly. Everyone who worked there seemed in good spirits, not trudging around like some places. Overall, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere and people did not hurt the score at all. I will be traveling 2 hours out of the way to eat here again for my birthday!
