SOURIS , 40km southwest, is probably the most interesting village around Brandon and easily reached by Greyhound. A pretty tree-shaded town on the steep banks of the Souris River, its main attraction is the vertigo-inducing suspension bridge , the longest in Canada. Beside the bridge at 26 Crescent Ave is the charming local history Hillcrest Museum (May & June Sun 25pm; July & Aug daily 10am6pm; $1).
