POÇOS DE CALDAS is the easiest of the Minas spa resorts to get to. Rich Brazilians from the large cities of Southeast Brazil like to take breaks here, and there are daily bus services to and from Rio and São Paulo as well as Belo Horizonte. It’s some distance from the smaller spa towns, and is an altogether different place; definitely a city rather than a town, it’s the most animated spot in Minas after Belo Horizonte.
