Seefeld, Austria

Nestling on a mountain plateau high above the north side of the Inn Valley among grassy pastures, forested slopes and rugged peaks, SEEFELD is as attractively situated as any Austrian alpine resort. The touristy and slightly snooty village itself is less wonderful – dominated by large luxury hotels, clusters of souvenir shops and expensive boutiques – although the horse-drawn Fiakers ferrying visitors around the resort help it retain a certain charm.
