The old Route 66 town of GRANTS , fifteen miles west of Ácoma, holds half a dozen budget motels, including a good Super 8 , 1604 E Santa Fe Ave (tel 505/287-8811; $35–50). In the heart of town, the Mission at Riverwalk , 422 W Santa Fe Ave (tel 505/285-4632), is an appealing converted church that now doubles as a community theater and healthy café, serving sandwiches, smoothies and coffee.
