My wife and I decided to try out the Agave Kitchen after living in Hudson for a couple of years. The menu looked interesting on the web. I checked out some web reviews on the place and saw a mix of positive and negative. When we got to the restaurant, we were seated promptly. The waitress was pretty attentive to our needs and made sure we had drinks. Our order was taken and shortly thereafter our appetizer arrived, which was very good. After that point, the night started turning south. We waited over half an hour for our main course from the time the appetizer was done. We asked our waitress if we could just cancel the main course and just pay for what we did get. She sent out the head chef. It seemed like the problem we had was that the order was overlooked. Tables seated after us received their food well before we received ours. The chef felt it was acceptable for issues like this to take place however my wife and I did not. Our food came out after being there for one hour and fourteen minutes. We took our food to go at that point.
I would never go back.
When I first walked in, I loved the atmosphere, and hoped that the food matched what I was seeing...well it does.
It's the kind of place you can take a date, meet up with a group, or belly up to the bar and relax (3rd Floor).
I wish more restaurants on the East Side were like this.
I have lived in Hudson for 16 years and have yet to find a better restaurant in the down town area. Not only does this place have super friendly staff but their menu is to die for!! Totally unique and unlike anything in the area there truly is something for everyone!! My favorites so far are the pork nachos and filet mignon sliders!! Plus the happy hour menu is HUGE!! come in once and you will love it I guarantee it!!!
Come down here at least once a week with a few of my buddies. No other place comes even close to beating the deals during happy hour, and the staff is extremely friendly. Food is amazing, and will always satisfy even the hungriest!
This is my kind of restaurant! I have recommended this place to many of my friends and they have all became regulars! Great atmosphere with unique setting. 3 levels and a 2-in-1 place with the sports bar up stairs. The best part about the place is their food! Yeah it may take 10-20 minutes for food on a packed house Saturday night, but if I wanted fast food I'd go to McDonald's. This is not your corporate establishment with robot staff. I really feel comfortable while I'm there with my wife on a date and don't feel rushed to have to eat and run. Very relaxed in a sence, but upbeat and hip as well. Its a must try. But its a popular place and might be busy at times. Don't have impossible expectations. Be human, sit back, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy what will be a loving relationship with a restaurant you'll call a home a way from home.
