Toshiko Japanese Cuisine, Hanford

I have eaten here numerous times and enjoyed every meal. I highly suggest the spicy gyoza as an appetizer. The crunchy california roll is a favorite of my wifes, who is not a seafood fan. The red dragon,white dragon, tiger, lava, and many other rolls were good to excellent in my opinion. I am not a professional food critic or restauraunt owner. I just enjoy good food and thats what they have.

This restaurant is over priced for the type of food they serve. I got the yakisoba, the spicy tuna roll and the philly roll. The yakisoba was such a disappointment, cheapy noodles and a couple of balls of chicken in it and a few veggies. I don't like their sushi, the sushi rice has a flavor I have never tasted before, that I can't really describe, except it just doesn't taste Japanese. I never had the spicy tuna roll before, I was totally grossed out, it looked as if some one chewed up a piece of tuna spit it out and added hot sauce to it. The philly roll was ok, just couldn't get passed the taste of the rice. I'm half Japanese and have lived in Japan for half of my life, and I don't expect food to taste as good as it does there, but damn at least try to come close.
