Phoenix Wok Grill, Grand Forks

SUCKS in my opion up to u really i dont like the way they cook and i was not to impressed

Sometimes good, sometimes horrible... The Phoenix Wok and Grill is the newest incarnation of what was called the Shangri-la. The menu is markedly smaller in size as is the location of the new restaurant. I've eaten in the restaurant several times and have ordered for delivery many times. It's always a crap shoot whether the food will be tolerable or horrible. The food doesn't begin to compare with really good Chinese food I've had elsewhere. But, this is Grand Forks, North Dakota and really good food is rare indeed. I've just endured yet another order of greasy sweet and sour fried shrimp and cold chicken & pork fried rice. I'm thinking it will be a long while if I ever order from them again. Restaurant food should be of the same consistent quality every time. If I have to guess, I'll err on the safe side and just not eat the stuff.

This beats out the China Garden in my opinion. I loved Shangri-La and was thrilled to hear about the Phoenix opening up. Food tastes the same to me (which is a good thing)! Service is hit and miss but the food is fantastic! Highly recommend; by far the best "Chinese" restaruant in Grand Forks right now.

Excellent Food!! There fried rice is the best. I haven't found anything that can match it. I will eat here whenever I come back to Grand Forks.

Went during appetizer happy hour. Ordered the Cream Cheese Wontons. They leave a lot to be desired. There was barley any cream cheese in them if any at all. If you want some real cream cheese wontons go to China Garden.
