The food was good, the service was beyond excellent! I went because the sign said they had oysters, but they haven't started carrying them yet after the gulf oil spill, so that was understandable. Instead I had the mussle dish in a curry sause. it was good. The mussles were a little too salty for my taste but the sause was excellent. I would recommend it and I will go back. I didn't get a chance to eat the mango dessert, but I've heard it is delicious.
I AM LEISA THE TAXI LADY AND HAVE LOVED SHADYS SINCE IT WAS THAI PASSION BEFORE KATRINA, I RECALL THAT THEY WERE THE FIRST TO OPEN AFTER KATRINA AND A HOT MEAL WAS LIKE HEAVEN! I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE BILOXI CAFE AND THE YOUNG MALE BARTENDER IS EXCELLENT AND REALLY BRIGHTENS MY DAY EVERY TIME I GO THERE. I SIT AT THE BAR AND WATCH TV AND ENJOY THE SERVICE AS WELL AS THE UNFORGETABLE COCONUT SHRIMP SOUP THAT BECOMES A CRAVING AND THEIR HOMEMADE CREOLE RANCH DRESSING IF BOTTLED WOULD BRING IN A FORTUNE. LOVE THIS CAFE! IF YOUR WANT A COMFORT MEAL THE PORK CHOP AND MASHED POTATOES JUST LIKE MOMS AND THE CASHEW CHICKEN WONDERFUL
we are traveling through from Texas and found Shady's on Biloxi
restaurants website. The food was great, tuna spread was wonderful,
the Tom Kai soup was fabulous with lots of chicken and great spicy broth. Also had the red chicken curry and was so delicous. The dessert mango with sticky rice was one of the best we ever had.
If you like Thai food, great find. We have not tried the other recipes, but,
probably are good. Neighborhood does not look great, but, the interior of restaurant was fine. Glad we went.
I have eaten at both restaurants and have enjoyed it very much, love the sauteed crabs claws, the lettuce wraps, the aspragras lovers, I also have had the steaks and they are all great. I have had great service. I will be back many more times.
I was there in Nov. 2008 and the food was fantastic. Of course, the libations were great also. I had some Thai dishes and it rivals any I've had across the contry. One of the best places to eat in Gulfport/Biloxi, MS. And they have just opened a second location in Ocean Springs. If it's as good as this one, it will be nothing short of GREAT! Plus they'll have music there. I know because I will be performing Celtic music there on Mar. 6, 2009. Come and have some great food, good drinks and lots of fun.
