In 2 visits to this Olive Garden, I have not been impressed. As Jim alluded to, it has kind of a barn (i.e., redneck bar) atmosphere. The parking lot is tight and narrow. The 2nd time, we took Jim's advice and sat in the bar area. The food was good, but there were 3 Olive Garden employees sitting behind us, talking loudly and yelling across the bar area to their server (Molly), who they were friends with. We had to ask twice to speak to the manager, and even though she ended up giving us our meal for free, I would not return. Bellini's prices are comparable, the food and service are better, and you can actually hear the conversation at your table!
I have always had great service at this Olive Garden and I prefer it to the ones in Henrietta or Greece because it is smaller and a bit more quaint. I would suggest going on a week night because the wait can be up to an hour on a Saturday night. I have been there three or four times and the Wait staff are hard working and always friendly. The food seems typical to any Olive Garden however. For the price you pay, the service is wonderful.
A group of 8 adults and 2 toddlers went to dinner one night and arrived at olive garden at 8:40. The service started out well, but then went south. We were told not to order the special for some reason and that the regular menu entrees were much better. It took forever for the food, and when it came out it was obvious that it had been sitting under the heat lamp for way too long. On 2 of the orders, the pasta had dried and the sauce was forgotten. And then our table was forgotten too by the waitress who disappeared for most of the night. Also we were given a hard time when we asked for breadsticks, because the waitress didn't want to cook them... UNBELIEVABLE!! We barely had any in the first place because she only brought out 12 for 10 people! At the end of the meal, 1 person wanted to order dessert, but the waitress never came back to take her order. Finally we told her that we had to leave and to bring the check. Same result the waitress vanished. When she did come back, she very rudely told our group to leave and go into the lobby!!!!
So, review, the service at the very beginning was satisfactory, exceptt for the waitress telling us that the specials(least expensive food) was bad and should order the more expensive food from the regular menu. During soup and salad service, she only brought soup to certain people, which annoyed the table, she never brought enough salad and breadsticks. FOR DINNER, the food was mostly cold and dried from the heat lamp, it looked like they just slopped it on the plate. For dessert, we never found out because the waitress forgot us. And then all of the sudden we were rudely asked too leave. NEXT TIME IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED ABOUT US LEAVING BEFORE CLOSING TIME WHY DON'T YOU BRING OUT OUR FOOD ON TIME AND WAIT ON US INSTEAD OF DISAPPEARING? AND DO NOT EVER BE RUDE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE FOOD LOOKS LIKE IT CAME OUT OF A SPAGETTIOS CAN!!!
Go to Bellini's in Pittsford or Bazils on Empire BLVD, or even Mario Viabruzzi's on Monroe Ave. Never go to Olive Garden!
The food is pretty typical Olive Garden. It is a chain that goes the extra mile with salad and bread (in abundance) as well as some not so typical entrees with a friendly, hard working staff. A hint to make your meal enjoyable : The main dining area is like a huge barn with loud music that makes it impossible to talk. Request a seat in the bar area in a booth. It is a 1000 % better to eat in that area because of the terrible and annoying noise in the main area.
