Went there 3-4 times during the first half of 2009 and only ONCE was the running sushi conveyor belt actually in use! I mean, that's the whole point, isn't it, to see a bunch of interesting food march by you and you pick and chose... And if there are more than 4 tables occupied at lunch time, prepare to wait for everything, It's almost like the people there do not know how to run a restaurant... Too bad.
I'll never go to this place again. Ever. I went there for lunch today (a Friday) and will admit that I caught they off-guard a little under-staffed when they were a little busier than they expected but the service was the worst ever. The restaurant wasn't even half-full but I think there was a large party but there's no excuse for waiting 10 minutes for a drink. We're talking a diet pepsi, presumably dispensed from a fountain machine.
After about 20 minutes, they served soup and a small salad. That was a pleasant surprise. Then I wait and wait and wait for the sushi roll. I complain to the waitress because I have things to do. Why did I even have to bring it up?! She should have apologized without me even having to ask where my meal is. She should have warned me when I sat down that they were going to be slower than normal. I actually considered telling the waitress I was fed up with waiting and was going to leave. In hindsight, I probably should have!
So the roll finally shows up and it wasn't even very good. I think they rushed it, it wasn't rolled very tightly, and the pieces tended to fall apart while I was picking it up. After an hour fuming over the time I wasted here, suffice to say that I left no tip and am happy about that.
Only rotating sushi restaurant in Cary, offers good excellent sushi and enjoyable atmosphere.
If you have never been to a rotating restaurant definitely worth a try, very similar to that type of restaurant in Japan. Its a little exciting to see what will come out next, and easy to be adventurous of what types of sushi you can try.
The staff very friendly and one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had.
