Flames Eatery & Bar
The Flames Eatery & Bar in downtown San Jose represents the present evolution of the classic American diner experience with a 21st century Las Vegas-style ambience. Nothing compares! Our menu features an eclectic mix of Greek, Italian and American specialties with generous, high-quality portions. Family owned and operated, with the new generation preserving the old Family traditions, the Flames success story is simple: big portions, great prices and excellent customer service.
After hearing so much about this resturant , i finally decided to have some breakfast..... IT WAS A DISASTER.... I sat the at the counter the bus person greated me.... gave me coffee and water and a menu... (this was the best service i got in the place).... a server did tell me he be right back.... and thats the last time I interacted with anyone... i waited for look thru the entire menu from breakfast , apps, bar and dinner and still no one... i waited enough for a another customer to receive his meal get a coffee refill and get a check back on how was everything... i even waited while my original server had a conversation with a customer about an event he was planning for new years.... i finally pulled out a magazine to read while I waited... after reading a page ... i decided well maybe this not place.. finally a server was heading my way... so i thought finally .. but she walked away... i finally had enough i got up got $2 to pay for my coffee and finally i was acknowledge... but i say no i am leaving... the server merely turned around walked no sorry you waited NOTHING....
I really liked this place when I took the whole family. We went during one of the happy hours and had appetizers at half price, well drinks for a good price and very good food and service. I would recommend this place to everyone.
To me the service was just okay, before I went I was told it was a great restaurant… I went there for my in-laws anniversary. But was disappointed with the service there. My eggs were so runny and I could still see the egg whites in them. The waitress could have been more nicer as well.
Happy hour drink menu is half off but watching the bartender she used cheap (well) alcohol and not from the menu. There's nothing in the menu that states the change in different brand of alcohol. My first drink did have Grand Marnier in my margarita but the second had some cheap sub. I asked the bartender and she said the manager had told her not to use Grand Marnier during happy hour which I did witness.
Not blaming the bartender and I wonder if this is legal by law.
I'll never return.
