Visiting Luchas Colorado Cantina was a nice experience. The location is a little hard to find, but once you find it you will be glad that it is worth it. It is set back a little further from the road on the lower level which makes it hard to see.
The place had a great atmosphere with a very warming and welcoming look. The felt like a fun place to be after dark as well as a great restaurant during the day. The appropriate dress code for this location is the average t-shirt and pants, nothing to worry about.
The wait staff was very prompt in attending to us after being seated. We were offered a highchair for the child with us and drinks very promptly. The menu was a nice sized menu for the small size of the kitchen.
We did have the Happy Hour special, which was tacos. The menu is a smaller menu, but the food is fantastic and the prices are cheap. The tacos were very authentic and the flavors were a great addition. The food seemed to be very good and positive. One complaint that we did have was the wait for the food as it is a smaller location the food took longer to cook, but the wait was understandable as everything was freshly made. With not many people in the establishment we were not offered refills on our drinks, which is something that does reflect negatively on any establishment.
Overall, I liked the restaurant and would be back and recommend them to others. For more information, you can visit their website at www.luchacantina.com.
