Brick Oven at Morristown, Morristown

I've been to this restaurant a number of times, mostly eat-in but once or twice for take-out. I'm baffled by the negative reviews on other sites. The food is very good quality, the service went out of their way to help us when we had a large party there recently, and the overall value for the money held its own against other offerings in Morristown. Being a BYO helps to improve the value as well. Very kid-friendly, which also helps. All-in, Brick Oven remains one of our favorite choices for a quality casual meal for our family.

For the record-This "Brick Oven" is NOT related to any other restaurant of similar name. We spoke with the owner on the way out. Now for my review: Wow! were we pleasantly suprised at the quality of food we received when dining there recently. We had the lobster bisque and pasta and bean soup. Both were excellent, especially the lobster bisque. House salad was good. I may 'trade up' to another salad next time. We had main dishes of pasta with pork sausage and chicken dish with a 'to die for' mushroom sauce. Both were excellent, satisfying and well worth the money. We will definitely go there again. If there was any negative comment, the waitress, although pleasant, brought our food a little too fast on this visit. We hope to have a little more time to eat next time.
