The best breakfast in the Naperville/Aurora area. Most items are available with mounds of fresh fruit, like pancakes, waffles, almond french toast is great, and they provide whipped cream on the side. The skillets are great too, especially with fresh ham and mini portabella mushrooms. Our kids love it too - especially the silver dollar pancakes with chocolate chips. The service has always been great.
We also went for dinner once - the full rack of ribs were great and only $12. Others in our party ordered shrimp and a salmon entree, both looked overcooked to me, but they said the food was good.
We went on a Sunday evening and not many people around. This is a decent place to check out... however, if you are a vegetarian, please stay away. I am a vegetarian, and I found the staff and cook completely insensitive to the fact. When I asked them about something that looked like a meat piece on my plate as to what it was, they just mentioned it was a vegetable and walked away without bothering to even see what it is. Then when I called the chef to double check that it was OK for me to eat, I was told that it was ginger (like I dont know what ginger would look like). I was sure it was Chicken, but I did not have someone with me that could confirm it. At this point, I just gave up and walked out. I was still charged for my full meal... and the staff looked at me as though I was making a big deal out of nothing. I would never go back, and strongly recommend you to stay away if you are a vegetarian.
Good food and lots of it. They will customize if youd like and the prices arnt bad like Eggsperiance. Usually the service is good but have had a few persons take there time but I dont see them working there anymore.
I have started going back to Pomegranate for a couple of weeks now, since i heard that finally there was new owners, I have to say that the new owners are extremely friendly. The food is great as always, since the day they opened, but the service has completely improved from several months ago. I also realized that the prices on the food has lowered but the food is as excellent as it was before. What i like about this place is that its always quite and i have plenty of time to finish my food without feeling rushed. The manger even comes around and asks if everything is good or if you need anything else. I gave Pomegranate 5 stars because this place really truly improved from several months ago. I gave it another shot, and I'm glad i did.
This place is definitely a diamond in the rough.
Amazing food. If you like Greek food, check out the Chicken Kabobs or the Gyros.
You will not be disappointed.
The owner and the waiter could not have been any nicer.
They are privately owned and they genuinely care about their customer's experience.
This used to be our favorite breakfast spot, often weekly, but we noticed the quality of the food and service slipping. We suspected a change of ownership as we hadn't seen the couple who usually seated us in quite a while. We asked a server and she said ownership changed late in 2010. That explains a lot. This place just isn't the same. We found we were getting over-cooked, dry food and the portions looked smaller. The almond french toast (a favorite for a couple of us) was coming out with almost no almonds. I don't know how you call it almond french toast with almost no almonds to be found. The skillet breakfasts were being served dry and overcooked - not surprising considering how long we waited for breakfast. The cashier did offer us a small discount to offset the experience, but after a couple of visits that resulted in the same disappointing experience, we've moved on. We gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but ended up with a 'meh' experience over and over again. We won't be returning to Pomegranate Cafe.
We went there for breakfast and what a wonderful surprise! Portions were just right at a reasonable price for delicious dishes. The service was attentive and very pleasant. We were able to converse in a nice decor with families at most tables. This place is a winner!
