I always enjoy going to this place with my entire family. You can't go wrong with their LUNCH BUFFET PRICE and the FOOD is really, really good.
Take it from me and you won't regret it.
I will be going there this sunday to celebrate MOTHER'S DAY with my family and everyone in my group is very ecited upon hearing the name SUSHI ASAHI.
Without a doubt, this is the best sushi place in the Inland Empire and for value far exceeds nearly all OC and LA locations in recent memory. If you are looking for a high end ultra stylish location, this is not your place. This is a casual neighborhood style eatery. Howards and his team are Masters at what they do. The freshness of the product is incredible. The options for their all you can eat sushi are boundless and Howard and crew are more then willing to help you be creative. I have made this journey 5 times in the past two months and each time has been better then the prior. This is the Inland Empires hidden treasure. If you were a fan of Pacific, or Cabin or Joes, you will be amazed about how much you will enjoy this eatery.
All you can eat. Don t let pretty pictures fool you. Canned tuna processed further with red sauce to make it look red like tuna. If you are on a budget, no offense, this place is ok; this is coming from a spoiled restaurantuer. To me I rather pay more and get quality food. So, all in all low grade sushi and rolls. As much as I like sushi this makes me dislike it. Ugh
My girl and I decided to go here after not wanting to deal with the three parties going at Joe's..OMG! have been here when Sonny was here.. Every new owner.. To my surprise..HOWARD is here from Joe's..We have not had a better time.. We actually could here each other talk..and not be rushed though dinner..Having Howie at Asahi made it sweet! staff very nice and attentive and plenty of parking. Great sushi and they don't stuff you with rice..great balance. Soft shell crab to die for.
All I can say is WOWWWWW!!!! By far the best sushi in the Inland Empire and matches some of the best in LA. I went here based on the other reviews and I was not disappointed. The fish is very fresh. You have to try the albacore. For all you can eat, you cannot beat the price given the quality of the food. I was very impressed and I am already craving to go back here soon.
Even with the long wait (sometimes half an hour or longer on Friday/Saturday nights), it is well worth it. This place may cost a little more for AYCE but once you're in, the food keeps coming (most of the time). Their fish to rice ratio definitely will put a smile on your face. I like their salad (without fish). The sauce they put on some of the rolls is a little too sweet, but other than that, their food is one of the best among Riverside sushi. The staff is nice even though the place is kind of small.
Just went there is weekend and it is unbelievable how good the sushi is there. I have been to OK, Joe's, and Ooka's and this place puts them all to shame. the food is fresh and flavorful. the fish slices are huge and there specialty roll are just ublievable. I will be back many time. This is my new regular sushi spot.
