Courthouse Caffe, Jacksonville

While the food is OK, the owner has a pretty bad attitude. She actually flirted with most of the men she came in contact with at my party. It was very inappropriate.

Nasty attitude!!!! Certainly not service friendly.

I love going to the Courthouse Caffe for lunch! They have a good selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, & hot entrees. The prices are very reasonable and they also have daily specials. My absolute favorite is the potato soup. Every item I ve ordered has very generous portions. They pile on the meats on their sandwiches, it s not just a couple of slices. The salads are fresh and very filling. I would have to say that my favorite dessert is the apple pie with homemade cinnamon ice cream. The service has always been fast & very friendly. This is a great place to get good healthy food whether you re in a hurry for lunch or want a nice relaxing, friendly place to eat.

In a town plagued by average local eateries, Rene s Courthouse Cafe rises out of mediocrity to provide the good residents of Jacksonville with a warm, friendly, and high-quality restaurant. I specifically enjoyed her salads, soups, & apple pie that are all made with great care. Additionally, the Easter Buffet is one of the best tickets around. Next time you re in the heart of Jacksonville check it out!

I attended a Catered Buffet dinner here on Friday, July 29, 2011, for a Wedding Rehersal Dinner. Let me start of with this. The glass for my seat was dirty, it was covered with food particles, and there was a small bug crawling on the wall next to the table. Bad sign to start with!! There were Pitchers of Water & Tea set out on a table for everyone to help themselves. The pitchers had ice in them but had a block to keep the ice from going into the glass, so your beverage had nothing to keep it cold in your glass and it wasn't even cold coming out of the pitcher. I asked if they had any ice and the person said yes and just stood there looking at me. I then asked if they could bring out and the person looked at me like I was crazy and said uh, ok. The guest behind me said, wow I guess she didn't want to get the ice. Items offered on the Buffet = Rolls (Some type of french bread) with some kind of flavored butter spead at each table so the guests could choose whether they wanted it or not. Chicken Marsala, Lasagna, Roasted Potatoes, Brocolli with squash & A Mixed Green Salad. The Lasagna was luke warm at best, the cheese on the top wasn't melted and the lasagna itself was dry & clumped together. The pototes were not cooked well, they were still crunchy and again, luke warm. The flavored butter spread was also bad. My boyfriend had the Chicken Marsala, Rolls & Roasted Potatoes. His review was the same as mine and he was so glad that he had eaten at Subway a few hours before because he said if he hadn't, we would have had to stop somewhere on the way home to get something else. I was so disappointed because I had read mostly very good reviews online. Saturday night I spoke to many of the guests that attended on Friday Night and everyone that I spoke to said they were not impressed at all with dinner Friday night. I have never given a review before, but I was so disappointed I felt I had too. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Renee from Courthouse Caffe catered my wedding in May 2010. The food and service was excellent. Renee was very easy to work with as well. All the guest as well as my husband and I thought the food was great and we didn't even sample it before the wedding. They also have very reasonable prices. My mom and I also had lunch at The Courthouse Caffe and it was delicious
