I like experimenting with food recipes and I guess the chef of Tabla loves to do the same. Murgh manchurian is to die for and Himalayan peaks is the best dessert I have ever had. The concept of fusion food is excellent. The best part is the full bar which is hardly found in Indian restaurants. The staff is very cordial and knows how to deal with the customers. The prices are nominal and totally worth it.
I was recommended this restaurant by my Indian friends, and was delighted to find it. It completely lived up to my expectations. I think Tabla bar serves the most authentic Indian food I have came across in Orlando – it is often hard to find someplace that serves Chocolate Samosa. The food was absolutely delicious - in particular the selection of Appetizers that are available as starters. Staff was incredibly friendly and everything was good, in short value for money. I was very impressed and can’t resist myself going back to Tabla again!
Ok, so all day I have read reviews on Tabla, I live in Clermont, and wanted to try Indian cuisine for the first time, I heard this place is awesome, I take the 45 minute drive and arrive at the restaurant at 10:10 pm...super excited, my date goes to open the door for me.......AND THEY ARE CLOSED!!!!!!! I am super heated that I did all this research, made sure I checked the hours of operation which clearly states 11:00 pm is closing time, and the staff decided to go home early!! Kobes down the street made it all better...
I am an indian and very familiar with all styles and tastes of Indian cuisine having lived in different parts of the country, so, you can trust me that my review will be as authentic as it gets. Honestly, i would NOT visit this restaurant again. Tried the lunch buffet once, and apart from the horrendous service, the food was flavorless. Gave them another try about a month later thinking things might have changed, but was I wrong. Same stale, tasteless food with same unfriendly, horrendous service. For the price they charge for their buffet ($40 for two people with two soda's, that they charge $3.99 each for - must be imported), the food could be fresher, tastier and the servers could atleast pick up the used plates from the table when the person leaves to get another helping (which did not happen for the entire two meals we had there). I also cannot vouch for another restaurant here, but there is another one, the service is a bit stuffy, but overall, food is fantastic. But they ll get the review under their own. However, as for Tabla Bar and Grill, I ve had it with them and will never go there again.
The food was mediocre at best. Service was bad & we didn't get refills on water. We had to wait a half hour for our bill. When we got there, there was no rice or naan on the buffet & you just can't eat Indian food without rice or naan. There was a large, irate (at the lack of food) party ahead of us & they kept milling around the buffet making it impossible for us to serve ourselves & the restaurant staff didn't request them to sit down of bring out more food for a long time. Very disappointed. Will not return. (Apparently, neither with the large party before us if the stick to what they were telling the wait staff).
I was there other day for buffet and i didnt like the food at all.I dont know who write all the other positive review about this place and also so many a week ?????? .Food was quite blend ,service was slow. And I will appreciate ,if people start writing genuine review for this place.
Tabla Bar & Grill has delicious and unique Indian dishes, lots of variety, really nice presentation, and excellent service. I have been to many Indian restaurants in Miami, New York, San Francisco, and even India, and Tabla takes the cake. Save room for dessert, we had the toffee cake with ice cream and caramel sauce and it was amazing. I can't recommend this place enough. I want to go back next time I'm in Orlando and try new dishes, they haven't disappointed me yet! Not to mention their prices are reasonable and their location is so convenient, right across from Universal Studios. Don't miss it!
I visited Tabla a few months ago when in Orlando for a conference, and was very happy with the food. This was probably the best Indian food I've had in the U.S. The food was very well cooked - not too oily or spicy, and the service was great too. A very nice place - hidden off the main road, but definitely worth a visit.
My friend and I like to go around town and try out new Indian restaurants. We heard about Tabla when we searched online and thought the Chocolate samosa was interesting and so we ventured over to Tabla Bar and Grill. The first time we had their lunch buffet and the second time we went for dinner. The lunch buffet was good and so was the price. The second time we ordered the Chicken Korma and Paneer Makhani with butter naan. The food was delicious. NOW the most important part, the dessert! On the first occasion we ordered the chocolate samosa and it was awesome. We both love chocolate and samosas but don't worry it is not a combination of the two. It is a samosa wrapping filled with chocolate and coconut that is deep fried and served with vanilla ice cream. Yummy Yummy. However there is another dessert that was just as good or even better the toffee pudding! WE Loved it.. enough said! So the next time you're hankering for some good Indian food and special desserts head over to Tabla Bar and Grill!
