I visited this restaurant on my birthday. I had bataka wada (though in mumbai it's known as batata wada). Then I tried pav bhaji, I can assure you, you will lick your fingers. Excellent food, Sailesh and his wife gives a personal touch in every order they prepare. Highly recommended, will visit again. For drinks PIYUSH (yummy) this is the most Authentic it can get.

The wait time was more than 30 min when we went to ask how long it will take they told 15 more min and if you cannot wait you can leave. We were not mentioned that it will take long. The people who came after us started getting the food we never even got our drinks. The owner mentioned the minimum wait time here is 30 min and next time you can go to some other restaurant.I have not written any reviews but i wanted to defintely wite this.Don't get fooled by the reviews here which we did and have a bad experience.

For my birthday, I treated myself to Indian food for the first time. After reading many reviews on different Indian restaurants, I decided to try Mumbai Ki Galliyon Se. As we walked into the restaurant, the owner greeted us with a smile and was very helpful in suggesting some of the items off the menu. The portions are perfect for sampling a wide variety of items. If you're concern about the spice, Shailesh, the owner, will modify the spice to fit your need. I'm definitely heading back there.

After reading the great reviews online my girlfriend and I decided to try Mumbai KGS for ourselves. We had never tried Indian food before but luckily the owner, Shailesh, was there to help us with our order. He and his wife prepared some of the most delicious food we have ever tasted! I was also surprised that the entire menu is vegetarian! As a vegetarian, it is very hard to eat out and find a variety of options. Mumbai KGS proves that you can eat vegetarian without compromising any flavor. My favorite restaurant hands down!!!

YUM!!!! After reading the great LA Times review of Mumbai Ke Galliyon Se a couple of weeks ago that made my mouth water, I set off to Artesia with friends and family to check it out. The food spoke to all my senses sweet, spicy, crunchy, fresh...a totally delicious eating experience! The blending of flavors made each of the dozen or so dishes we tried amazing! The owners and their children made us feel not only welcome, but part of their extended family, introducing us to their favorite dishes and relaying stories. Looking forward to going back soon!!

I'm also not the first to write reviews, but after eating here, I dusted off the laze. During our vacation in LA, we happened to accidentally end up at this wonderful place. Authentic is the word. Owner's wife cooked a meal that was mind-blowing. Healthy, nutritious and delicious. Like it so much that we made it a rule to eat there every day of our remaining time in there. Kathleen's depiction of the place is accurate. But I would have to disagree with her on the Aloo Paratha - it was outstanding, actually. We also thoroughly enjoyed Sabudana Khichdi, Chapati/bhaji, to name a few. Here's something else: Normally Indian folks dont engage in conversation at restaurants - they come do their thing and leave ... I am no exception. But strangely at this place, the atmosphere was quite different. Everybody was interested in sharing their admiration of the food, and swore to come back for more. It brought me many memories of Mumbai. Great food does great things, I guess!! Most Indian restaurants seem like a rip-off in comparison. Dont miss this marvel !

Home away from Home. Hidden gem of a place in Artesia. One of my favourate places on pioneer blvd. Owner shailesh is very friendly and customises your food based on ur taste. Maharashtrian delicacies are mouthwatering like sabudana kheechdi, sabudana vada, dabeli, paav bhaji and ofcourse missal paav which is as good as it can get..I would recommend this place if you are looking for typical Mumbai Kind of food in US.
