NEVER AGIAN- Violent Security Staff In the process of closing down for the evening this establishment proceeded to rudely yell and push people out of their doors. We explained to them that we had not received our bill and needed to close out our tab for the evening, over $400. During an altercation involving one of their security guards and a member of our group, a group 3-5 of their security staff proceeded to pepper spray, tackled down, punched and kicked him. We later found out that this was done to 2 of the males in our group. While this was going on inside the club my husband and I were outside waiting for the others to come out so that we could all go home. One of their security staff members addressed my husband and asked us to leave. My husband started explaining to him that were just waiting for the others and as he was trying to explain this, the security guard pepper sprayed him. As soon as I realized what had happened I asked the guard, “did you just pepper spray him? he wasn’t doing anything” and as I was saying this, he pepper sprayed me. Neither my Husband nor I were physical toward this security guard and posed no threat to him. In the mists of all of this 3 other females were pepper stayed and/or pushed to the floor and one dragged by the hair. These Security Guards used excessive, unnecessary force on both male and females in our group. The SAPD, EMS and SAFD were called on site but were unable to provide aid as Pepper Spay is not washable.

It really was good- the chocolate martini I had was great and I got to try a bunch of the appetizers: calamari, brie, goat's cheese with cranberries/ bruschetta, sweet potato fries . . . the desserts I tried were DELICIOUS ( I love good chocolate) and I'd like to go back to try some other things!

Gourmet portions but I liked everything I ordered. It's definitely a date place or girls night out spot. Could be pricey if you loose count of the martinis you have. Will be a Bday/special occasion spot for me for sure!

Coco's is a wonderful dining experience. Most of the staff is friendly and attentive. The food has always been top-notch, especially the escargot and mussels. Philippe is a very dedicated and fine owner and his floor mingling always is a highlight!!

This bar/restaurant is probably one of my favorites of all time. The Original Chocolate Martini is AMAZING. I could drink them all day, and I am not an alcohol drinker at all. I just don't like the taste of alcohol much, but this chocolate martini owns me. The food is actually really good here too, especially the appetizers. Most of the appetizers involve cheese (very tasty), but it is difficult if your date is lactose intolerant (like mine). I've had the cheese based appetizers before and WOW. Most recently I had the crab cakes (pretty good), and calamari (disappointing). I'd recommend sticking with the cheese based appetizers if your stomach can handle dairy. Desserts are also pretty good. If you go through San Antonio or live here, you NEED to visit this place!

The decor at Coco Chocolate Lounge is scrumptious with plenty of chandeliers, candlelight, plush ruby-red velvet booths and bar seating. Coco manages to keep a fabulous atmosphere with reasonable prices. Its extensive drink menu includes almost a page of chocolate concoctions, plus martini flights, wine flights, and a champagne flight for those that like to sample a variety. Very nice!
