Hated this restaurant. I'm from PR, moved to RDU 3yrs ago, was looking for Latin restaurant, was extremely disappointed with this one. Maybe i'm used to puertorrican and cuban food and that's why i didn't like it. Tried the pork, had a pungent taste that I found weird, my husband tried the flan, didn't eat half, nothing that we ate was satisfactory.

I am Dominican and new to the area of Raleigh. I came across Caribbean Cafe after searching online. I went in just for the Dominican cake after a month of calling and not having any luck. I would highly recommend!

Vendors and/or Suppliers Beware. The people at Caribbean Cafe are stiffs. They do not pay their bills. Even after a phone conversion where they said the bill would be paid, it has gone unpaid. Beware of doing business with them.

I love the caribean cafe it reminds me of being in my grand mothers kitchen as a child, the smell that comes off of the food as they prepare it is what makes my mouth water as i sit in anticipation for my food to hit the table. i have my entire family coming to the place and we all enjoy the music, people, and all around Great service... this place is the Spot to be in for good down home caribean food.

This is the best place to go for authentic Dominican cuisine. I just got to say I'm blown away by the food since I moved from NJ i have not been able to find a good Spanish restaurant. The atmosphere was good with some salsa playing in the background and the food is second to none i would go there and taste for yourselves.

Awful place, Poor Service, bad food and terrible atmosphere. Went there last night; the place doesn't have proper ventilation, so all the smoke and smell from the kitchen gets into the dining area and lingers there making it a very smelly event. The service is horrible, the waiter messed up my wife’s order, she didn’t get the correct dish and we had to pay for wrong dish the waiter gave her. The food and drinks are pricey and not great at all; we had to wait more than an hour to get our food, and another 45 minutes for our check, for a combine two hours repulsive restaurant experience.

I went to this place with my coworkers. The five of us got different plates and a sampler appetizer. The new owner introduced herself and was very friendly asking our group if everything was O.K. several times. We all enjoyed our plates i had the Pernil(roasted pork, i believe) with rice and peas and fried sweet bananas. It was a good portion and under 7 bucks with a drink and all. I would definetely go to this place again.
