Mimi's Cafe, Fredericksburg

I had a craving for Eggs Benedict. I found a blog that recommended Mimi's Cafe for a delicious Eggs Benedict. I was surprised they offered breakfast and underestimated this place. The contributor was correct! It was out of this world. I had it on crab cakes with spinach rather than the traditional way served on an english muffin. I honestly thought Mimi's Cafe was more of a Mexican Catina. They actually serve upscale American home cooked dishes. The presentation was attractive. The portions were generous. My spouse had an omelet that was made the way he wanted it. They served a fresh baked muffin that just melted in your mouth and was warm. The decor was appealing and also upscale. The weight staff was sooo nice too! They all were smiling, warm and friendly and manager actually took the time out to speak with us. We have been to several restaurants where we have been greeted by managers and to be honest at those establishments it feels as though those managers do it because they have too. Not the the case at Mimi's. He was not in a rush but actually wanted to make sure we really enjoyed our visit. He even sent us home with fresh baked muffins of other flavors. The employee moral is high as noticed by the staff, they actually like there jobs as noticed by the great customer service. We have been to restaurants were we are afraid to actually ask or stop wait staff, or they are too busy to care. Again not the case at Mimi's. This is a place we will definitely visit again. We reviewed both the lunch and dinner menus while there and what they offer is endless. Everything is fresh and yummy! Thank you Mimi's of Fredericksburg!
