I don't like this restaurant at all! My fiancé and his parents went to the Asian Court on Christmas day for dinner. We ordered all the food with the waitress at the same time. My fiancé and his father’s food came first. My food and his mother’s food, plus the fried rice he ordered at the beginning never came. We waited for approximately forty-five minutes and then we asked the waitress, she said the food was coming. Then we waited another 15 minutes and asked her again. She said the same thing, the food was coming. She also told us that Chinese food takes a long time to cook. I am Chinese and have lived in China most of my life. So, I know how long it takes to cook Chinese food!! We ordered Chicken Chow Mien, fried rice and fish. None of these dishes should take more than 45 minutes to cook. I told her what we ordered and she said, “What fried rice?” She then said we had never ordered any fried rice, plus when I mentioned the Chicken Chow Mien to her, she said we had already ate it. But she had brought out a Chicken with Vegetable dish without the Chow Mien. She told me that it was American style, again I am Chinese! And we have eaten at this restaurant before and the last time the Chow Mien did come with noodles. But she continued to lie to us, after finally having enough I asked for restaurant owner. She said that she was the owner, and that she would take the Chow Mien off the bill and that she would also give us an additional 15% off. But after we had finished eating, I overheard her speaking to an employee in Chinese to only take 10% off the check instead of the 15% she had originally promised. When I confronted her about it in Chinese, she continued to lie, quickly taking my fiancé’s father’s credit card and not allowing me to see the bill. My fiancé and I use to frequent this restaurant all the time. But do to the extremely poor service and the owner lying I will never go to this restaurant again. This is the worst service I have ever received from a restaurant!!
I took my mom for her birthday brunch and it's been a while since I ate there. It's under different management and the food was good for a local Baltimore dim sum restaurant. We got there just a little after they open and then of course like all dim sum place it gets pretty busy and packed after 11am. The service was quick and nice but they were good at rushing folks out and turning the tables over quickly. Sunday brunch time is not the time to sit and relax and enjoy the food. It's eat, drink your tea and go. I would go back again for their food so I don't have to drive an hour to Wheaton or Silver Spring for dim sum.
A decent dim-sum place. It is a good sign when you come into a Chinese restaurant and you see a handful of Chinese and Asian customers enjoying their foods. It shows the authenticity of the foods. I would have given the restaurant a four star rating, if they serve more variety of dim sum. Most regular Chinese restaurant will stick to the basic plates.like suemai, hagao, sa sue pao. (Forgive my pronunciation). The service here is always good. Give it a try!
