Have been to Amigos three times. The two times I ate at the bar by myself, my food was delivered piping hot. The time that I sat in the main part of the restaurant with mi chica, her tacos were hot but my tamales were cold, just barely room temp. I had to reorder and they then brought me another plate of tamales that were warm at best. My advice, sit at the bar if you want your food to be consistantly hot. Chips were good and the salsa was nice and chunky. Tortillas soup was very delicious, but the poblano cream chicken soup was so so at best, nothing compared to Canyon Cafe's. The choriqueso was watery and bland, so I'm not sure what kind of sausage they use in it, not the kind of chorizo I find at authentic Mexican joints. Margaritas were bordering on weakness. A bit over-priced for the quality. The owner and the Mexican bartender are a blast to talk to, especially if a Mexican football game is on the tube.
