Amanda's Bakery & Cafe, Emporia

We had lunch there on 6/15/11 and really enjoyed this place. The cinnamon buns put the chains to shame. We had turkey bacon sandwiches (fresh turkey) and they were delicious. Add to it that it is located in a bookstore and it was a total treat.

Cinnamon rolls are great & plenty big for two people. The coffee was very disappointing, tho. Haven't tried anything else yet ....

Amanda's is the BEST! If you think you've had great cinnamon rolls before, you have to try hers. It's hard to combine large, flaky, fluffy, inexpensive, tasty, not too rich not too bland flavor and have it be successful, but Amanda has found the secret. Each one leaves your mouth watering for more. My kids love going to Amanda's, where we always get friendly, fast service and are never disappointed.

Amanda puts a little bit of her heart & soul into each loaf of bread she makes everyday! She always has fresh fresh fresh as her motto for her menu... why it is so tasty. I dare you to eat a whole sandwich.....lol .... go ahead ! You wont be disappointed when you go downtown to Amanda's and dont pass it up if she looks busy,,,, they work fast...she has a great crew working for her!
