TO THE OFFICERS OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA SOCIETY OF THORNTON, CA: I find it very deplorable for you to have queens at your Fatima Celebration. Our Lady of Fatima should be the only Queen being honored since this celebration is in Her honor. By having queens, you are putting on a pageant show which is very wrong. THIS CELEBRATION IS IN HONOR OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA, NOT A PAGENT SHOW TO SHOW SOME FARMERS DAUGHTER ON PARADE. Turlock (Our Lady of the Assumption), Hilmar, Tracy and many others Honor Our Lady with full respect. No queens except THE STATUE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA. OUR LADY IS THE QUEEN. I attended the Fatima Celebration in Gilroy last weekend and it was so beautiful. Yes, they did have a yound child dressed as Our Lady on a float, but it was just a young kid. This pageant like show you people put on parade is pathetic. You should show more respect to Our Lady of the Rosary. I strongly suggest you attend the Fatima Celebrations in places like Turlock, Gilroy, Tracy and Hilmar. The only coronation that should take place is in the Church and is of the Statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, not some pageant looking farmers daughter. That is disrespectful.
