Original Red Onion, Vallejo

i keep saying i will never go back here,and i did got my order and did not get the cookie so i told the guy i did not get the cookie with my order so he proceeds to open the jar and take it out, mind you he had just came from the back where i saw him blow his nose i asked him are you going to wash your hands, he sa oh yah and while he wash doning that some other no smiling employee gave me my cookie no thanks for you business or have a happy new year,no they really dont need my money or tip which is why i order out but not there any more ever.

My Wife and I eat at the Red Onion somewhat regularly. We love their Fish & Chips. Their Hamburgers and Fries are good, not great. We also eat Breakfast there too. I would rate their Breakfast as good also. We eat both in the Restaurant and Take Out. I would not drive from out of town to go here, but it beats eating Chain Fast Food. I would say check out the Bakery. What we have tried so far is 5 STAR. Please support this Vallejo Diner. We need more like it. Yes they can improve.

The Original Red Onion was pretty good when it first opened but it has clearly gone downhill. We were just in last week and the restaurant looks dirty and unkempt. There were dishes piled about in the back, the tables were dirty, and the floors feel greasy. The restaurant also has a TV, which is not a problem if a sports game is on or something like that, but while we were in the TV was set to Family Guy which is not a show that I allow my young girls to watch. It's rated TV-14. I just didn't think it was appropriate to be playing a show like that in a restaurant where you know there are going to be children present. The burgers were okay and our french fries were burned, plus our order came out in different stages (fries first, then one kids meal, then another, and so on. Needless to say, if I want a good burger, I'm going back to Nations in Benicia.
