What a great meal. This place is expensive, and it's a prix fixes menu, but it's also a fantastic dining experience. Go in with an open mind and prepare to be a little adventurous. We had an 8 course meal that started with a squid, radish, mushroom salad. I'm not a squid fan, but it was delicious. From there we went to a 5 appetizer course that included an unagi and tofu roll under a steamed snow pea. It was great. The appetizer course also included and uni, marscapone, & wasabi item that was fantastic. Next was black cod under a turnip puree. Not my favorite of the night, but good. Then a tempura of shrimp in mushroom with a green tea & nori salt. Different & excellent. This was followed by a yuzu gelatin with diced fuji apple to cleanse the palate. Next it was a duck soup accompanied by various pickled items. This was followed by a chicken & rice dish. Both were outstanding. Desert was also a highlight. It was a black sesame mousse and a sweet potato paste with red bean. The service was outstanding and the food presentation was impeccable. Menu changes monthly. We'll be back soon.
