My husband says this was the best BBQ he ever had. Typically we would not have stopped at a place that used to be a gas station, but upon recommendation, we did. And we couldn't have been happier. Portions are large, staff is so friendly. Owner is wonderful and boy can they cook. A must for a St. Simon visit.
Line was long but worth the wait. I had the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and fries. It was well made BBQ and the slaw was creamy. My wife had the smoked chicken sandwich and could only finish half. My daughter had the (cold) smoked turkey sandwich with mac and cheese. She too could only finish half. I tried both of theirs and both were very tasty. I had a Blue Moon and they had the lemon aid. The only complaint was the lemon aid had that island sulfur taste.
Have eaten there many times, its well worth going out of your way to eat. I do it on my way into Florida and leaving FL for home in West Virginia. I do a lot of BBQ'n and I know good BBQ when I eat it...... yummy.
