For the past 3 summer seasons, while vacationing in Eastport Maine, I have had the distinct pleasure to visit the ROSE GARDEN CAFE. Always greeted warmly by either Linda or Al, the owners (who also do the cooking), I look forward to seeing and sampling what surprises are on the menu. From Linda's home made split pea soup to a N.Y. cut strip steak cooked the way I like it, to linguine with shrimp, clams etc., I've never gone away disappointed- - - or hungry! Sure, there are some other places to eat in Eastport, but no place does food like THE ROSE GARDEN. Another plus is their promotion of local talent on week-ends. Definitely worth giving them a good look.
